Hi, my name is Veronique. I’m a dedicated tutor with years of experience and a passion for reading & writing. I’m a Columbia University graduate now pursuing my M.F.A. in Creative Writing at Monmouth University, where I was recognized as the Highest-Ranking Master’s Degree Recipient for the M.A. in English in May 2025.
The subjects I tutor include Reading Comprehension, Writing (especially for College Essays), Vocabulary, Literature, Grammar, and Italian. I have a lot of experience with college and scholarship essay tutoring, and my main goal is to work with you to make you write something that exemplifies your values, skills, and who you are as a person and showcases what your goals are, all while telling a story that gives the admission’s officers something interesting to read. Writing an essay can be difficult, but it doesn’t have to be dull.
Outside of tutoring and my education, I’m a published poet, and I run a literary magazine. I love reading, writing, hiking, LEGO, my cat Amelia, traveling, painting, and listening to music. I’m fluent in Italian (it was my first language!), I studied French for seven years, and I have been learning Spanish and Japanese (though I’m still a beginner). I also enjoy trying new things, so if you have a recommendation, I would love to hear it!
