Vaqas

Hey, I’m Vaqas. I started tutoring because it combines values I hold dear, including mentorship and problem-solving. From when I was young, I always asked why, constantly trying to dig deeper to uncover fundamental truths, something I continue to do with my students. I deliberately try to develop an insatiable thirst for learning and knowledge in my students and push them to stay curious at all facets of life, as I believe being a lifelong learner is the key to success.

I’ve taught in a great variety of settings, including math at my high school and teaching theology and ethics to youth at my local nonprofit. My favorite subjects to teach are math and the sciences, as I believe they cultivate exceptional problem-solving abilities, an essential skill in the modern age.

Likewise, I love to learn about my own interests in my free time, including religion, math, and computer science. In school, you can usually find me doing astrophysics research about local galaxies or building software applications for my friends. Outside of that, I love to spend time with my friends and my cats as well as participating in sports, like Mixed Martial Arts.
