Tyche

Hello! I’m a current undergraduate student at Columbia University studying Comparative Literature (specifically French and Italian). From a young age, I’ve been a voracious reader, and I’ve long aspired to become a novelist. In the meantime, I’m the Deputy Events Editor for Bwog, my school’s student-run campus news site.

Outside of academics, I enjoy journaling, watching movies, and bouldering! I take every opportunity I can to travel in order to hone my language skills: I spent my first year of college at McGill University in Montréal, where I grew comfortable using French in a bustling francophone city, and in June 2024 I attended a month-long Italian-taught history course at La Sapienza University in Rome. Tutoring has always been a significant part of my own education—when I was a kid, my dad taught me Latin at home, and I relied on a tutor to learn French in high school.

I’m eager to return the favor by helping other students with the following subjects: writing (especially college essay support), reading, history, and languages!
