Tiana

In high school, I had to learn how to learn. One of my peers taught me how to grasp concepts with methods that were tailored to my own academic needs. I am passionate about making knowledge accessible to all students, and I have learned new strategies to do so over the years I have spent tutoring. I have experience tutoring peers in mathematics, physics, and biology.

I am a computer science major at Princeton University. I aspire to pursue a career focusing on biotechnology, fusing my background of biochemical research at the National Cancer Institute with my current academic interests. Oftentimes, difficulty in fundamental STEM courses can discourage a student from pursuing their interests. I hope to help students build understanding and confidence in these courses in order to explore the full range of their interests without hindrance.

Beyond my studies, I am a part of two dance companies on campus. I find that engaging in the arts allows me to approach problems from a variety of angles, no matter the subject. I like to challenge students to think creatively and engage new parts of their brain in the learning process. I look forward to getting to know new students and tackling problems together!
