Hi! My name is Shiv, and I am an undergraduate student at Princeton University majoring in molecular biology. I have been tutoring and teaching for many years. I tutored throughout middle school, high school, and college. In high school, I was President of the Peer Tutoring Club, where we designed an algorithm to help match students with tutors on a need basis. I love tutoring because I know that every student learns differently, and that one method of teaching might not work for everyone. I want to be able to make a difference in students’ lives, show them that learning doesn’t necessarily have to be difficult, and help them identify the methods in which they learn the best.
The subjects I tutor include: SAT prep, Biology, Chemistry, Math, and English.
Apart from tutoring, my main hobbies are music and sports. I am an avid New York sports fan (Giants, Yankees, Knicks, Rangers) and have been playing the trumpet and guitar for as long as I can remember. I love traveling, learning new things, and spending time with friends & family. After Princeton, I hope to go on to medical school and become an orthopedic surgeon with a focus on sports medicine.
