Samson

I came up as a student-athlete, competing in NCAA track and field while earning my biomedical engineering degree at Johns Hopkins, and that mix of discipline and problem-solving is a lot of what I bring to tutoring. I’ve worked with 250+ students over five years in AP, SAT/ACT, and STEM, and I’m most at home in math and science. I was previously the Head Teaching Assistant for Statistical Physics at Johns Hopkins, and I am also an MCAT tutor.

I’m heading toward medical school and a career in sports orthopedic surgery, but tutoring has been a constant for me because I genuinely enjoy helping people feel capable, especially the ones who’ve convinced themselves they’re “just not a STEM person.” I also mentor first-generation student-athletes, which keeps me grounded in why clear teaching matters.

When I’m not working, I’m training, watching sports, or spending time outdoors.
