Riona

Hey! My name is Riona and I am an undergraduate majoring in Neuroscience on the pre-med track at the University of California – Los Angeles. I’ve grown up immersed in the arts, particularly participating in musical theater as well as the art of dance. I am currently the finance captain of UCLA Nashaa, a Bollywood-Fusion competitive dance team. My passion for mentoring younger dancers at my studio has translated into a love for tutoring as well. Since high school, I’ve specialized in standardized testing tutoring for the SHSAT for middle schoolers in NYC, spreading resources to help minority students fulfill their potential. Having a love for STEM myself, which I’ve explored through Columbia’s Science Honors Program and as a writer for the science department in my school newspaper, I thoroughly enjoy spreading that love to my tutees in math and science as well.
