Ranen

Ranen is a proud New Jerseyan and current JD-MPA joint degree candidate at Harvard Law School and the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs.

As an undergraduate at Washington University, he studied racial and gender inequalities through sociology coursework that formed the foundation of his intellectual and academic commitment to dismantling racism.

In college, he interned at political campaigns, the ACLU, the EEOC, Congress, and did DEI work at the State Department working on LGBTQIA+, immigration, civil, and human rights issues. Right before graduate school, he co-founded OutVote, an LGBTQIA+ civic engagement nonprofit, and researched LGBTQIA+ food insecurity at the DC Food Policy Council and inclusive apprenticeship practices at the Brookings Institution.

After graduate school, he plans to become a civil rights lawyer working on legal challenges to racially inequitable practices. In his free time, Ranen enjoys biking, spending time with friends, and trying new foods.
