Nicole

I am a doctoral student in UNC’s Department of English and Comparative Literature with over ten years of experience tutoring and teaching middle school, high school, and college students. Though I received formal training specifically in the areas of study skills and standardized test preparation, my time spent as a high school and college English teacher has also informed my tutoring methods. I particularly enjoy working with students who are interested in improving their overall academic performance. Even if we are focusing on a specific area, such as writing, algebra, or biology, I hope that my students will be able to apply the methods and strategies they acquire during our time together to their other courses. Most of all, I genuinely enjoy learning and tutoring, and I look forward to each tutoring session as an opportunity for us to exercise our minds together.
