Nicholas

I graduated in the spring of 2021 with a B.A. in English from Harvard University. Although I relished courses in a variety of disciplines, including computer science, cellular biology, and history, my studies in English specifically were centered on environmental literature and multiculturalism, with special interest in Vietnamese diasporic literature and works by Vietnamese-Americans. While at Harvard, I was a member of the Harvard-Radcliffe and Bach Society orchestras, and was active in the Harvard Vietnamese Association. My passion for music and my connection to my multicultural heritage have provided me with a diverse set of perspectives that have informed my teaching and enable me to engage in meaningful ways with students of various backgrounds and lived experiences. I would be honored to help guide your child in developing the mindset, skills, and knowledge necessary to achieve their utmost potential.

Other Interests & Activities: At Harvard, I was one of the Harvard Vietnamese Association's co-presidents, was a member of both the Harvard-Radcliffe and Bach Society Orchestras (served as social chair for HRO and principal viola for BSO), and was an English Department student mentor. During the summer of 2019, I worked as a research assistant for Professor Jessica Stern of BU, and was a member of a team operating out of BU Spark that, in association with Thomson Reuters and the Anti-Defamation League, researched Neo-Nazi and far-right wing activists, their communication styles, and created an AI-driven heat map of common words and targeted persons. I also edited Professor Stern's book, "My War Criminal." Currently, I write creatively (I have been working with a former professor from Harvard, who is mentoring me as I write a musical).
