Matthew

Above all, I'm excited to be at studying at Princeton, an experience geared primarily toward my encounter with the human ideas and discoveries that make up my world (though a professionally useful degree couldn't hurt). My primary focus is political thought, but I'm a big fan of literature, music (Irish fiddling, in case that's your thing), and languages as well. I'm very involved in Jewish life on campus, having spent two gap years in an intensive Talmud program in Israel, where I had the opportunity, among other upsides, to mentor a first year student in Aramaic reading skills throughout the second year, allowing me to improve my teaching skills (which I put into action as a teacher in my high school upon my return). And if it counts for anything, I'm also a professional street performer, and will happily blow you or your student a pantomimed balloon.
