Leah

Hi, I’m Leah! I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a BA in Philosophy-Neuroscience-Psychology and as a member of Phi Beta Kappa. I am currently an MD/MA student at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, pursuing a dual degree in Medicine and Medical Humanities and Bioethics. I have over six years of tutoring experience, and I have worked with students of all ages and skill levels, from early childhood through college. My specialties include test prep, writing, math, and science.

I believe that great tutoring goes beyond content knowledge to help students build confidence, develop stronger study habits, and find their own path to understanding. My prior tutoring experience revealed to me the importance of individualized instruction and adequate tutor preparation to ensure that the time spent in the actual tutoring session is used as efficiently as possible. Outside of individualized instruction and tutor preparation, I place a strong emphasize on open and honest communication with both my students and their parents.
