Laura

Hi there! My name is Laura, and I’m an undergraduate at Princeton University majoring in Operations Research and Financial Engineering (ORFE), with certificates (minors) in Computer Science, Finance, and Statistics & Machine Learning. Over the past eight years, I’ve enjoyed providing engaging and individualized tutoring sessions to students ranging from preschool to high school levels.

As someone who remembers and still sometimes experiences the frustration, confusion, and self-doubt that come with not being able to grasp a concept or reach an academic goal, I find it incredibly fulfilling to help others achieve their “aha!” moments: those moments of clarity when something finally makes sense. I strongly believe in customizing lessons to fit each student’s unique learning style and needs, and am passionate about helping them grow as learners both inside and outside of the classroom. While I have the most experience tutoring standardized test prep and math of various levels, I’m comfortable teaching a variety of subjects.

Outside of academics, I enjoy cycling, traveling, and dabbling in the aerial arts.
