Hi, I’m Josh. I studied Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College London (MSc) and Chemical Engineering at Dartmouth (BE). My thesis work was on sodium-ion battery materials research and energy systems modeling. I’ve been tutoring for years, and I excel at tutoring high school students in chemistry, math, physics, and test prep (SAT/ACT).
Every day I work with calculus, physics, chemistry, and the math underneath them as tools to model batteries, design wind farms, and solve real engineering problems. I focus on finding the exact angle that makes a confusing concept click for a specific student, acting as a mentor as much as an instructor, drawing from my experience playing club basketball at Dartmouth and varsity at Imperial.
I enjoy basketball, and I’m into astrophysics, telescopes, and backpacking.
