Hello! My name is Jeffrey, and I am a huge fan of chemistry and math. Chemistry has always appealed to me – I spent one summer memorizing the periodic table (in song form, of course), and have enough chemistry jokes to make you laugh at least once! I have experience tutoring others in the past, including as a volunteer and as a private tutor, and I truly enjoy helping others recognize and understand concepts thoroughly. When it comes to tutoring, I emphasize directing a student to the answer rather than just explicitly showing the steps to solve a problem – I find that this solidifies the material better and helps a student remember how to solve similar problems in the future. In my spare time, I play tennis and enjoy reading – my favorite book is “The Stranger,” by Camus. I also am a huge fan of Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead, so if you’re interested in those shows, I can talk with you about them for hours! I also love academics and learning, which is why I like teaching others so much – the learning often goes both ways, and that is something I find very special about tutoring. Thank you so much for reading, and I hope to meet you soon!
