Jeffrey

Hi everyone, my name is Jeffrey! I am an NSF postdoctoral fellow in mathematics at University of Maryland, College Park, and I have a strong passion for math education and research. My research is in applications of fluid dynamics, probability, and partial differential equations to problems in biomedicine, physics, and engineering.

I believe that learning math can be very rewarding and (also fun!) and my teaching philosophy involves creating an open and welcoming atmosphere in which students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring. I have taught numerous classes at the college level, and I was awarded the Outstanding Graduate Student Instructor Award at UC Berkeley. I tutor mathematics subjects and test prep (SAT).

In addition to doing math, I am also an avid musician (violin, guitar, and vocals) and I am passionate about performing and discovering new music!
