I’m a current college undergraduate studying Creative Writing and Applied Mathematics at Columbia, aiming to become a published author and/or Editor-in-Chief.
I’ve always loved tutoring, as it allows me to guide a student to their own unique form of understanding—whether it’s helping a high school senior develop a style for their Common App Essay, or explaining Geometry using music and artwork to a ninth grader. In high school, I was the head of the literary magazine and student newspaper, giving me editorial experience that’s allowed me to become the Copy Editor of the Undergraduate Creative Writing Magazine and Managing Editor of the Undergraduate Film Magazine in college. I was also a consistent Math Mentor, captain of the Math Team, and winner of several state and national awards. The subjects I tutor include English/Writing, Math, and test prep (SAT/ACT).
I enjoy writing speculative fiction, taking long walks through New York City, playing classical piano and flute, doodling on the back of my hand, programming nonsensical graphics, and going down YouTube rabbit holes. I also love forming connections and sharing passions with the people that I teach and befriend.
