Hello! My name is Isabelle, and I am a graduate from Harvard University. I was born outside of Boston, but my family and I moved abroad when I was nine years old; we ended up spending five years in Avignon, France, and one year in Taipei, Taiwan, before coming back to the States for my sophomore year of high school.
As an undergraduate, I studied History and Science on the pre-medical track, meaning I got the chance to take small history seminars alongside big science classes (I loved it!). Outside of my classes, I was a tour guide at the Harvard Art Museums and was involved in Asian American affinity groups. I also tutored students one-on-one throughout college: I especially loved teaching French, though I also worked with students on English, writing, and history. During school breaks, I also got some classroom teaching experience, first with middle schoolers in New York City, then with high schoolers in Taipei, Taiwan.
This year, I am pursuing a master’s degree in Art History in Paris, France, as I apply to medical school back in the United States. I hope to return back to the States next fall to begin my medical training.
The subjects I tutor include: French (fluent in French, C2-certified native/bilingual proficiency April 2025), English/writing (including college essay support), biology and chemistry (520 MCAT score, i.e., 97th percentile, August 2024).
I am excited to look for ways to bring my interests in teaching and the humanities (especially art history!) into my work.
