Hey! I’m Gabby, an honors graduate of Yale University with a B.A. in Women’s, Gender, & Sexuality Studies. I have over seven years of experience tutoring and mentoring in a variety of capacities and subjects, including mathematics, writing, English, music theory, SAT and ACT prep, and college admissions essay writing. I practice a collaborative tutoring style that emphasizes dialogue between student and tutor. This way, the student and tutor are able to arrive at personalized learning and teaching strategies that are engaging and tailored for every student. My model also emphasizes forming meaningful connections and maintaining honest dialogue with parents.
Outside of teaching, I am a passionate composer, singer-songwriter, and performer. In college, I took a gap year to perform with the Yale Whiffenpoofs, America’s oldest collegiate a cappella group. As a musician, I’ve participated in residencies and labs through different organizations, including the Trevor Project and New York City Center. Creativity fuels everything I do, including my tutoring and teaching philosophies.
