Erick

Hi! My name is Erick, and I have plenty of tutoring experience, including helping high school and middle school students with algebra, pre-calculus, and calculus. I have also reviewed college application essays for high school seniors, which I found especially rewarding. I enjoy reading essays and learning people’s stories because essays play a crucial role in shaping how universities perceive an applicant. My academic strengths include biology, as it is my major, and I am passionate about breaking down complex concepts into relatable ideas to help students succeed.

Beyond tutoring, I am deeply committed to pursuing an MD-PhD and a career in pediatric oncology, blending my love for science with my desire to make a difference in children’s lives. Volunteering with organizations supporting families of children with cancer has strengthened my empathy and communication skills, which I carry into my teaching. I am happy to talk about what I’ve done and my experiences as an undergraduate, including research, a public health internship in Chile, clubs, and public service. Tutoring allows me to share my knowledge, inspire curiosity, and help students reach their full potential.
