Emilie

Hi! My name is Emilie. I grew up in Chicago and have been drawn to creative writing and literary studies from a young age. As a Comparative Literature Major at Princeton, I undertook interdisciplinary studies of diverse cultures, including French and Polish Literature, Creative Writing, and Film Studies. Following my primary academic interest in film adaptation studies and graduation from Princeton in 2020, I went on to complete a Masters in Philosophy in Film and Screen Studies at the University of Cambridge in 2021. In my professional life, I now work in Film Acquisitions and Development, where I put my creative and writing skills to use in helping my team pitch and package independent films. Academia remains close to my heart, however; I enjoy helping students set academic goals and achieve benchmarks towards them. I am especially adept at teaching reading and writing comprehension, whether for test preparation or for school subjects. I also have essay writing and editing experience, and have helped numerous students with successful college application essays to universities such as Princeton, Northwestern, Brown, Oxford and Cambridge.
