Alfred

Hi there! I am Alfred and I am currently an undergraduate at Princeton University (class of 2023). I am a physics major and have had the most experience tutoring in stem classes, particularly in chemistry, physics, and math. My first experience with tutoring was actually as a student at Kumon, where I got to meet some amazing teachers that were high school students only a few years older than me. As someone who primarily relied upon tutors for academic guidance growing up, I understand the importance of and see tutoring as a way of paying it forward and hopefully being able to act as a guiding figure for other students. I first started tutoring in middle school where I volunteered at the local public library, working with fourth and fifth graders on various subjects ranging from math to English, and then became more involved with tutoring in high school after I joined the Math Honor Society and Science Honor Society, which acted as central hubs for helping high school and middle school students in math and science. In the future, I am looking to go to grad school to get a Ph.D. in Physics that will allow me to do theoretical research in either High Energy or Condensed Matter Physics. In my free time, I enjoy going on long walks, playing frisbee (though I’m not very good at it), and playing the piano.
