Hello! My name is Alex, and I am an undergraduate at Harvard University, where I am pursuing a double major in Psychology (Cognitive Neuroscience track) and Art, Film, and Visual Studies, with a minor in History of Art and Architecture.
I have extensive teaching and mentoring experience, working with students from diverse backgrounds and academic levels. I tutored refugee children in Greece through the Happy Caravan Project, teaching English and Greek to help them integrate into their communities. I also taught International Relations to honors high school students at North Quincy High School through the Harvard International Programme of Education (HPIE), a branch of the Institute of Politics (IOP). Currently, I tutor high school students in AP Chemistry, Mathematics, and English.
My approach is student-centered, focusing on conceptual understanding, confidence-building, and critical thinking rather than rote memorization. I enjoy helping students unlock their potential, whether it’s through STEM subjects, humanities, or language acquisition.
Beyond academics, I am passionate about sports, particularly sailing, and hold a Skipper License. I am also a licensed PADI Scuba Diver and love exploring the intersections of architecture, design, and behavioral science.
I look forward to helping students achieve their goals, develop a love for learning, and gain the skills they need to succeed!
