AJ

My name is AJ and I am a member of Princeton’s Class of 2021 from Maryland, majoring in neuroscience. In school growing up, I loved all the STEM subjects from biology to engineering, and in the future I hope to incorporate what I’ve learned in my research and medical career. While I consider my strongest subjects to be in the sciences and STEM classes, I take even more pride in my ability to engage and build meaningful relationships with students, and make “tutoring” an enjoyable experience. The success I’ve had would not have been possible without the tutoring I received myself while in grade school. I understand what it’s like to struggle to grasp and synthesize all the materials, especially with a packed and stressful schedule. I believe building confidence and studying more strategically are essentials keys to success in helping a student take ownership of their learning process down the road. Outside of the classroom, I compete on the varsity volleyball team at Princeton at the division 1 level and love all sports, and have other outside experiences working with elementary and middle school students while directing international summer camps as well as serving locally with Camp Kesem Princeton.
