Adam

Hello! My name is Adam, and I’m a Neuroscience student at Johns Hopkins University. I’ve always had a passion for teaching and inspiring insight in others, from tutoring my younger cousins as a kid to working formally as a tutor throughout high school and college. I have experience tutoring students from elementary through high school, and I strongly believe that a successful tutoring experience at any age is one that is tailored to the student’s needs, goals, and passions.

In high school, I was an AP warrior, and some of my favorite subjects to tutor include physics, mathematics, chemistry, and writing, though I am flexible across a wide range of subjects.

At Hopkins, I currently work as an undergraduate research assistant in three labs and as a medical scribe. Outside of academics and work, I enjoy hiking, composing music, and coordinating club-wide efforts for A Place to Talk, a peer listening organization that promotes mental health awareness. I also serve as a trained peer listener in the group. With over 100 hours of active listening training and an active Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) certification, I strongly believe that a tutor not only teaches but supports the student as a whole.
