Hi! My name is Rosie, and I’m a graduate of Harvard University, where I studied Applied Math and minored in Ethnicity, Migration, and Rights. I am currently a programmer in public health research.
I hope to contribute my experience in tutoring, communication skills, and commitment to making learning accessible and enjoyable. In my time as a high school and college student—and now in my role as a programmer on large-scale public health projects—I have been proactive and organized. While in school, I juggled classes, sports, leadership in multiple clubs, and community service. As a data programmer, I work on multiple studies, including an annual Massachusetts-wide survey of mental health and substance use in public school students. In this work, I anticipate project needs and complete timely reports and figures for meetings, external collaborators and stakeholders, and papers and presentations. My current work reflects my deep care for student well-being.
Throughout my tutoring and mentoring experience, I have especially enjoyed helping students in math, SAT prep, writing, and college essay support—watching them gain confidence in their problem-solving abilities and achieve steady improvement in their results. I believe that every student can succeed, as I value the importance of communicating clearly with both students and parents to ensure that learning needs and goals are met. I have enjoyed working with students to create effective study plans and am eager to continue developing my tutoring skills.
In my free time, I like to sing in choirs and at community events, read, go on hikes, and cook. I’m looking forward to helping you in any way I can!
