Hi! My name is Saumith, and I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis magna cum laude with a B.A. in Biology and minors in Psychological & Brain Sciences and Anthropology. I plan to pursue a career in medicine, and am currently applying to medical school.
I’m a published anesthesia researcher with experience in both clinical and bench research, including studying personalized music therapy for pediatric patients and exploring ligand-gated ion channels using patch-clamp neurophysiology.
I’ve taught and tutored a range of subjects, and am able to offer support with test prep (SAT/ACT, SSAT), math, biology, chemistry, and physics at the high school and AP levels. I love helping students build confidence and truly understand complex concepts through a tailored, supportive approach.
Outside of academics, I enjoy lifting weights, baking Tres Leches cakes, listening to Cyndi Lauper, and watching comically bad horror movies.
