Hudson

Hi! My name is Hudson. I was a Classics major at the University of Chicago, and I am currently taking a gap year to apply to English PhD programs. I am originally from the Hudson Valley, and I am fluent in Japanese, German, and Italian. My areas of expertise in tutoring are literature, writing and college essay support, English, Japanese, German, Italian, and SAT prep.

I was a debate coach for over two years, and the Vice President of the University of Chicago Ethics Bowl team in my senior year. I gained a lot of confidence through public speaking, dialogue, and my teammates’ support, so I enjoyed helping those communities continue to be supportive for others. I now extend the skills I gained through my mentorship experiences to helping students articulate themselves, build confidence, and succeed in a tutoring context.

In my free time, I like to read, write, cook, and explore the city with my friends. Recently, I have also been into film photography. I have two kittens.
