Hi! My name is Itzel, and I am a graduate from the University of Chicago, where I got my BA in Public Policy with a concentration in comparative politics, and a minor in Education. I’m very passionate about education reform and providing students with adequate education access to meet their learning needs. Subjects I tutor include SAT/ACT prep and subject-specific math classes.
I’ve had extensive experience in curriculum development and currently also work at an afterschool program based in early childhood education. I love getting the opportunity to work with students at all age ranges and getting to see them develop into strong scholars that love to learn.
I also offer tutoring help in Spanish, my native language, which has allowed me to understand and resonate with the different learning backgrounds that my students are coming from.
One of the highlights of my undergrad was getting to study abroad in Barcelona and immerse myself in this culture while also letting me practice my conversational Spanish skills.
