Hi! My name is Trey, and I’m an undergraduate student at Columbia University studying Neuroscience. I’m on the Pre-Med path and have experience in many different STEM subjects. For example, I’ve done biochemistry research since high school and am a published author on at least one scientific paper. However, I have a broad range of interests and expertise that go beyond just STEM. I was also a teaching assistant for an English teacher for a year, and I love English, grammar, and reading comprehension.
Additionally, I did 1:1 tutoring in high school for subjects like chemistry and algebra, and I’ve worked with students of all ages between Pre-K and 12th grade for over three years. With my experience, I’ve learned a lot about connecting with students, different learning styles, creating student-specific plans, and fostering curiosity, growth, and progress.
Beyond academics, I am passionate about walking/hiking, traveling, trying new things, and getting involved in the community. I look forward to helping students achieve their goals and develop the skills they need to succeed!
