I currently teach English and Environmental Studies at Stanford University. I hold a PhD in English and an MFA in Creative Writing, and have over 10 years of experience teaching and tutoring writing for high school and college students. I have supported my college essay students with applications to the following schools (to name a few): Binghamton, Johns Hopkins, Tufts, Williams College, Hunter College, Baruch, and NYU.

I write short stories, plays and poetry and regularly volunteer in local mutual aid networks.
